  7. The installation program will need to overwrite some of
  8. the files on your GEM distribution diskettes, in order
  9. for the driver to be successfully installed.
  10.    
  11. It is, therefore, highly recommended that the original
  12. GEM diskettes are backed up, and the backed up copies
  13. be used in the driver installation procedure.
  14.    
  15. A disk-copying utility is provided for your convenience
  16. in this installation program.
  17.    
  18. Please make sure that you have a sufficient number of
  19. blank diskettes to copy the original GEM diskettes onto.

  21. Press <Enter> to commence the diskette back-up process.

  25. Select the version of GEM which you have currently
  26. installed, or about to install in your system.

  28. Device Drivers supplied with your card support only
  29. the available GEM software versions as shown in
  30. the menu.

  32. Choose the version that you have and press <Enter>.

  34. Press <Esc> to abort GEM driver installation.

  38. Choose the driver which you wish to have installed, based
  39. on the the resolution and/or the number of colors that
  40. you require for a particular application.

  42. It is important to note that not all of the available
  43. drivers may be installed; this is due to the fact that
  44. either your Graphics Card or your monitor doesn't support
  45. the driver of your choice. (i.e. a 1024x768 driver can
  46. not be used with a regular VGA 640x480 monitor).

  48. If this is the case, then select the driver with lower
  49. resolution and/or fewer number of colors.

  51. Position the cursor over chosen driver and press <Enter>

  55. The INSTALL Program has detected 2 floppy drives in your
  56. system. Depending on the format of your original GEM
  57. installation diskettes, you should make a selection
  58. of the floppy drive that will be used for installation.

  60. Select drive A: or drive B: for the floppy drive.
